Spreading of Europe

The Capitol in Washington is fully in the spirit of Greek and Roman culture. President Thomas Jefferson commissioned the building around 1800. He had come to admire classical antiquity on his numerous travels during his visit to Europe. European architectural styles were also exported to other continents, mainly to the colonies in South America and Asia.
