Freedom of travel

Roman citizens were able to move freely within the territory of the Roman Empire. After centuries of constant border conflicts between individual nations, the European Union once again enables freedom of travel within Europe. The aims of the EU include freedom of residence and freedom of profession for all citizens within the Member States.
