Europe on rails

The "Thalys" is the latest development on Europe's railtracks. It has been serving the route Paris-Cologne since 1998. This joint product of multinational companies stands in a long European tradition which began on the continent with the opening of the first public rail link between Brussels and Mecheln in 1835.
