what makes me proud to be european is the way after centuries of war, its over - we've found another way, peace has spread across the continent and as europe expands i think it will bring peace and prosperity to the world. The European Union Proves that a diverse people can work together - the world is diverse and so perhaps, europe is a model of the way the world can go.

the most significant event in european history i think is without doubt the 2nd world war. The EEC was soon after formed and since then and because of that, war is now unthinkable.

my hope is that europe becomes more unified so that we can through greater influence solve all the worlds major problems. and i think the world needs europe now more than ever.
