Based in three locations (Bonn, Leipzig and Berlin), the Haus der Geschichte der Bundesrepublik Deutschland Foundation presents German history from post-war times to the present day with an approach that is geared towards visitors and interactive experience. With well over 1 million visitors every year, the houses of the Foundation are some of the most visited museums in the Federal Republic of Germany. As a complement to the permanent exhibitions, individual aspects of contemporary history are explored in more detail in appealing temporary exhibitions, a varied programme of events and assorted publications.
In its work, the Foundation aims to appeal to visitors of all ages and from all walks of life.
