Welcome to our exhibition Divided - United Fifty Years of the German Question (unification) in cartoons from the Haus der Geschichte collection "Award of Master" of the "Corporate Media '99" The Museum of Contemporary History plans to present, in several installments, various segments of its collections on the Internet. We are beginning with this cartoon exhibition. It has been put together from the Museum's extensive collection of satirical cartoons: visual commentary by East and West German cartoonists on fifty years of German history. The exhibition is chronologically arranged: beginning with 1949, you will find for each year an East and a West German cartoon on a central event of contemporary history.
