
Booming bass, dancing crowds, flashy outfits: the Love Parade attracts millions of people. Since 1989 more people take part every year. Techno is the heartbeat of the Love Parade.

In the annual slogans of the Love Parade, love means peace and community. But the event is also about romantic love and sex. Confidently expressed homosexuality
belongs to the Love Parade just as much as heterosexuality.
What the visitors have in common is a focus on the present, not on old traditions or the distant future.
Photographer Daniel Biskup captures the atmosphere of the Love Parade since 1995. His pictures show visitors expressing themselves and enjoying their freedom.
